About Us

Albert County Pharmacy was first opened as a drug store in 1983. The original building was a grocery store that burnt and was rebuilt again in 1974, where it remained as a grocery store until 1983. The pharmacy has been proudly serving the communities from Hillsborough to Riverside Albert to Alma and everywhere in between ever since! Our pharmacists have a passion for pharmacy and the communities we serve. We love knowing and helping our patients and making a difference in people’s lives. Our pharmacy and front store staff love working with the public, and we really take pride in the way the store looks so you will have the best possible shopping experience!

Gary Thorne

Pharmacist

Gary Thorne is the new Pharmacy Manager at the Albert County Pharmacy in Riverside-Albert. He is a not-so-recent graduate of the Dalhousie University College of Pharmacy (class of 1986). He has many years of experience in Community Pharmacy and still enjoys the practice of Pharmacy very much. Gary looks forward to being in Riverside-Albert for years to come. He also looks forward to meeting everyone and helping them with their health care needs.

Kelly Brewster

Kelly Brewster

Kelly grew up in Riverside-Albert on Forestdale Road. She attended Hillsborough Elementary and graduated from Caledonia Regional High School. Kelly has worked in the Albert Country area for most of her life, with the exception of a few short months of living and working in Calgary, Alberta. This experience taught Kelly that Riverside-Albert was the only place for her!  Kelly is presently serving on council for Riverside-Albert. She has been employed at Albert County Pharmacy since 2008, and has a "Freedom 85" plan in place for her retirement, at which time she plans to live in Riverside-Albert forever!
